Christmas and whatnot.

December 27, 2011
Hope everyone had a good Xmas, so before it all wears off completely, here’s a roundup of the photos from the last few days:
Leaving the house when the sun was coming up makes up for some lovely colours in the sky,
Bought some Portuguese wine in the supermarket here. A little bit of home, away from home.
This year I thought I’d try an English Xmas tradition and eat mince pies. I totally missed out last year, as I never got round to tasting one. So, the other day in the supermarket I decided to be bold and buy a whole package. The name can be deceiving, as it might evoke an idea of something meaty and savoury, but no, they’re as sweet as can be with a bit of spice. So they were a success and to prove it, the package is all gone.
Here are some of my pressies:
Little felt hearts that hang down from the booties my friend Carol gave me, to keep my feetsies warm in Winter.
The Barry M gold foil effect nail polish. another present to myself . I had a Bourjois gold nail polish but it wasn’t nearly as pretty as this one.
Mr D found this watch in a charity shop and brought it home for me as I am the queen of tack.
Hello Kitty goodies I got from Secret Santa at work. Thank you Secret Santa!
A bag of goodies I got from Laura, a lip gloss and soap from Body Shop, a pen and a pencil and the Hello Kitty frame!
One of the sweetest gifts I had this Xmas- it has Mr D’s and my name engraved in the back, along with this year’s date, from Eileen.
Also got what seems to be a fun game, from my friend Iain. Many fun evenings to come!
I also got Hello Kitty candy canes and a Shoes desktop calendar, I’m going to take it to the office so I can be inspired on a daily basis. I seem to have gotten a lot of Hello Kitty stuff. It never fails and even though I’m in my mid 30’s I don’t care, I still like it 🙂
So this is what I wore:

This year I didn’t go back home for Crimbo so it was just me and Mr D. I decided that I should wear something nice, regardless.

Cardigan– H&M Trend (it belonged to a friend of mine)
Dress – Zara
Shoes – Betsey Johnson, my Xmas gift to myself.
The Betsey Johnson heels. Love them
I had a really nice Christmas, I cooked (for a change, Mr D normally does most of the cooking) and have been relaxing, blogging, scrapbooking, and tidying up my stuff. I also greatly enjoyed all my presents and am very thankful for my friends and their thoughtfulness. And the best present of all? To finally spend Christmas with Mr D.
What was your favourite present?
