Meet and Greet – Sacramento of Mis Papelicos

April 1, 2012

This time I thought I’d introduce a blogger, that some people might already know but also take the opportunity to add a few reflections on blogging. I have come across Sacramento’s page Mis Papelicos maybe almost a year ago and immediately I liked what I saw. And why? Because not only Sacramento is a really nice person and very supportive (always has encouraged me and given me suggestions on how to improve) but is a good example of what I like to see in a blog. Sacramento’s page is colourful, full of life and it conveys her style and personality very effectively (plus some great DIY inspiration every now and then). It is a great example on how you don’t have to keep tabs on trends to be stylish, nor be a 20 year old skinny girl. (nothing wrong with being one, you just don’t stay that way forever).

Now cut the crap and move on to what matters: meet Sacramento!

How long have you been blogging for and what made you start blogging?
I have been blogging for nearly 2 years(  April the 7th ).
I used to dress for myself and to inspire the people who crossed my path. I thought a blog was the next step.

What are you doing when you are not blogging?
I took early retirement from teaching in order to live and travel.

What or who inspires you the most for your outfit choices?
I find inspiration everywhere: papers, magazines, colours around me, other bloggers. My own clothes, the need to express myself…

What has been your favourite outfit so far?
My outfits are like my children, so it is difficult to choose; although I have my favourites.

Who takes your photos?
My patient  husband, and occasionally my daughters

Who are your favourite designers?
D& G, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Etro…

What is your most favourite place in the town where you live and why?
There is nowhere especial in my town. I was born here, but my roots are in my heart.

If you didn’t live in Spain, which country would be your next choice?
I can travel the world, but I could only live in Andalucía.

Apart from the earrings you have shown us recently, what is your most prized/favourite piece of clothing or accessory?
My favourite is always the one I haven´t worn yet.
I think I  have hardly repeated outfits in the blog, and I love the challenge.

What makes you most happy?
Peace of mind, and healthy body for me and my loved ones.

If you could invite 3 people for dinner at your house (I’d be the 4th, of course lol) who would they be and what would you cook for us?
I have no idols, but I would invite Pedro Almodovar, the Spanish film director, he would be a good laugh, you of course, and  whoever else want to eat a vegetarian dinner.

If you could magically change something about the world, what would it be?
I would stop cruelty of all kinds at once.

And to finish, any advice for new bloggers?
Be yourself, look around, learn and never ever be boring.

Hope you liked it and don’t forget to look at her page here. Ta!
