Last week as you may well remember it was the Summer Solstice. My housemate and friend thought it would be nice to go watch the sunset from the Belton House Belvedere as the weather was supposed to be decent. When we got there we saw a few deer on the field across the road. I couldn’t get much closer as the fence had 1 meter of nettle around it, but still managed to take some cute photos. I love deer so much, they are so beautiful and elegant. On the way up the hill we saw a lot of sheep but they didn’t allow us to get too close. We took the fold away chairs and a couple of beers with us and sat under the tower looking at the landscape and the setting sun. There was even a beautiful barn owl hunting close by, all this sure beats sitting at home watching the telly!
Details:
Cardigan – Zara
Dress – 60’s vintage
Collar – DIY (see here)
Knee Highs – I can’t remember
Shoes – H&M
What did you do on Solstice? Do you commemorate it in any way?

Gorgeous photos! Looks like a wonderful day! ?
How gorgeous! You certainly get out and about to some gorgeous places! Love the pale blue dress, you're like a modern day funky shepherdess!!
We sulked 'cos we weren't at Glastonbury, planned to camp out in the garden but it poured with rain (just for a change) so we got drunk in the house and watched Woodstock, The Movie! x
lovely background and lovely outfit, so pretty dress and I like the color combo!

Beautiful! Those sheep photos are wonderful and make me feel like I need to be there. I feel very drawn to that sort of terrain.
Your dress is so cute! And your short haircut is perfect with you style.
