I'm feeling blue

July 27, 2012

Turquoise blue derives its nomenclature from the mineral of the same name, turquoise. This name in turn, derives from the 16th century Old French word for “Turkish”, because that’s the entrance route the mineral took into Europe, from the mines of the Khorasan Province in Persia.

The turquoise gemstone has been considered holy by many cultures throughout the centuries as a bringer of good fortune. It is a colour I find very attractive and for that reason incorporated into what I wore on this day, to go around town running some errands. It didn’t bring me that much luck as it started raining later and I was soaked!

How interesting! Rain is good! Though it may get your lovely turquoise toes a little soggy…

Nice bit of information on the turquoise origin. And I would have never guessed the shoes were from H&M. They're fantastic! Love the high-waist skirt on you too.

Turquoise is my birthstone and I wear it every day and I've learnt something new! Love those shoes with the tights. It rained? It's been fabulous here, I don't want it to ever end! xxx

Just to answer your question…I use a self timer set at 10 pictures and I just use my little Canon Powershot set on the highest quality. I think it's about 160dpi. That's about all my knowledge with a camera…how about you? Do you take yours yourself?
