A couple of weeks ago my friend Ben picked me up from work and took me to Newark for a drink. Newark is a market town near where I work and I had been there before but only on short visits at lunchtime. This time I got to explore other areas of the town I had never seen before, particularly the river front. I didn’t have my camera on me so all of these were taken with my phone. I hope you enjoy them regardless.
I wasn’t aware of this but there is a small castle in ruins.
This is a Victorian replica of an older building.
I loved all the beautiful and colourful flowers! They always catch my eye.
I also keep an eye out for old painted signs. I always like to imagine how would it be to see those same walls around the time the signs were freshly painted.
And of course, the outfit photo.

VERY COOL AFTER WORK…. and beautifull dress !
Your phone's picture quality is fantastic! Thanks for bringing us along on this outing. Do I ever love your boots, and the touches of red at your shoulder and crown!
You are rockin' my fave red/white and blue!!!
Newark looks DIVINELY pretty! A castle!! Be still my beating heart! I love castles.I once tried to convince G to build me a mudbrick one.
Such a beautiful setting along the river, and lovely buildings!I like to spot old painted signs, they're the best!
AWESOME pix! XXXXXXX
You look lovely! It's Autumn now and I am happy to see always colours from you posts. When I was in Europe during Autumn or Winter, people are dominated by black and grey. Your little bunny ears are cute. I tried to tie a scarf around but it slides off all the time.
Thank you so much for adding me to your blogroll. It's such an honor.
Have a nice day!

I love your flirty short dress with those candy apple red tights! Old castles are so romantic – I always wonder who lived there. Probably their lives were not as romantic as I imagine, especially without central heating.
These pictures are lovely, everything looks amazing; I so want to go on a vacation after seeing these pictures, I bet you had a great time and you look so beautiful! Your blog is lovely by the way and I am a new follower! Hope you will like my blog and follow back!

You're such a cutie pie! Love those red boots! And such a beautiful place.
You look very cute, there. Love those shoes! I am always worried wearing skirts that are shorter and full that the wind will take ahold of them (due to a recent traumatizing event). Having a pair of tights is a good way to keep the potential incident to be less skin baring, though.
What a beautiful town, too! Love that old castle. I wish there were more pretty and historic places around here to photograph. We've got lots of nature, but not much for old buildings.
