I may not look like much, but I’m an expert at pretending to be a ninja.

And that’s what I did the other day, with my newly acquired Jika – Tabi shoes I got from Ebay! Have you ever heard of tabi shoes before? They look bizarre don’t they? Some people commented they look like hooves, others were just perplexed and looked at me like I am crazy and it didn’t matter explaining that they are actually quite common in Japan. That’s right, they’re actually common work shoes in the land of the Rising Sun! They were invented in the 20th Century but were modeled after the traditional tabi socks, that divide and separate the big toe from the rest of its toe brothers. In case you are wondering, they are quite comfortable but would be best worn with tabi socks underneath, not tights like I did.

I was so happy to finally receive the shoes that I wanted to wear them the next day so quite unusually, I planned my outfit the previous night and drew it on the computer:

That was fun, I should do it more often! And this is what it looked like in real life:

And the details are…. *drumroll* : Bauble hat – Neiman Marcus collection for Target (on sale),  Peplum Skirt – Ebay, Navy Top – Joules, thrifted on my trip to StamfordTights – Primark, Tabi Shoes – Ebay

I’m linking this up to Patty’s Visible Monday at Not Dead Yet Style as there’s nothing more inconspicuous than a strange pair of footwear.

I like those crazy boots! It’s funny, they are really not that odd and yet, there is something about them that seems alien-like.

They are quite bizarre, and as someone who can’t wear anything with a toe post because I find it so uncomfortable, I remain to be convinced that they are comfy! But as always you look super cool and stylish, Sara! Hope you are feeling OK. xxxx

If you hate flip flops and similar things steer clear… but I don’t mind the toe splitting factor so they’re fine for me 🙂
      Thank youxxx

They are bizarre, but I think they look comfortable. And it’s always good to make people think that you might be part satyr or Satan’s spawn. I like the blue toes!

They look strange indeed! Agreed on the second bit, it pretty funny 🙂

I’ve always wanted the rubber version of those! Loved my second-hand Air Rifts back in the 1990s! You look fabulous. x

I really love tabi shoes, you’ll have to let us know how you get on with them! The rest of your outfit reminds me of a studio Ghibli character, which is a very good thing… so it all fits beautifully! Xx

Having pain – and having pain for a long time makes you get in a bad mood, get sad and so on. So tough to yourself knowing that there’s something wrong in the body but not to gain understanding. Now you certainly appear to be in good spirits with the fine headdress!

Absolutely! It really doesn’t help at all. Now things should be better, if only because of understanding what is wrong 🙂
      xx
