A weekend where Robin Hood used to dwell

June 28, 2013

Last weekend was a really busy one. I now find myself wishing for a weekend spent at home, with no commitments of any sort. Not that I’m complaining but I need some relaxation every now and then (who doesn’t?).

It all started on the Friday, as I headed to Nottingham to meet my friend Ben and work with him on the social media and blogging aspects of his developing business Sushi Night Fever. I gave him my two cents and I am very curious where he will take them. I wish I could do this for a living.

Anyway, as I had to wait for an hour at the train station, I was feeling increasingly restless and bored. For some good 10 minutes I was by myself in the waiting room at the train station -that’s when I decided to take my outfit photos right there.

“Yes, I’m on my way!”

The Sun graced us for a few minutes here and there. Better than nothing I suppose. Too bad I didn’t get to see the Solstice sunset though.

Girls out on a hen night.

That day we went to the movies and watched Behind the Candelabra. I wore a very suiting outfit, as a (very humble) homage to Liberace’s flamboyance. I pale in comparison with his glittery suits covered in Swarovski  crystals. I really enjoyed the film, not only the actor’s performances were amazing but also touched on the very current theme of gay marriage and partner’s rights.

Details: Silk and golden thread dress – Vintage (80’s, maybe?), thrifted from Salvation Army on my most recent trip to Florida, Tights – H&M, Gold Shoes – Office (via Ebay), Necklace – Hello Kitty for Sephora, Black Hair Bow – Dorothy Perkins (on sale)

Hope you had a lovely week!

Love both dresses but you look especially beautiful in green – the head shot in the sunlight at the train station is stunning.

I think you look like Peter Pan in your first photo….when he first flew into Wendy’s room looking all spunky and adorable. I do believe in fairies.
