I love mixing patterns. I do. I’ve been doing it more and more often.
I think the main secret is to stick to a colour scheme -see what I did here? Other than that. just do what you feel looks right. Just don’t be boring!

Super cute!! Pattern mixing is great, not over-thinking it and just doing is always a great way. Love the look doll x
Oooooooh I love!!! There’s so much gorgeous going on here, that shirt made by your aunt is incredible!!! I hope you’re settling into your new home:) xox
Yes, you do it so well, Sara! Love the tights against those fab shoes. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xox.
I have always found mixing patterns very difficult for me. I just don’t know how to do it. So I try to avoid it as much as I can. That’s why I mostly prefer solids. But look at that birdie print! That is awesome and stars seem to go together really well. And polka dot shoes, they’re just too cute! Thanks for sharing.
Totally fresh and adorable look!

Everything you do just looks perfect. I really mean that. BTW I am ca-razy about your Pinterest bento box board!
You mix like a pro, fabulous combo here! x
Pattern mixing is such an art and you do it so well! Luve! Ive played with pattern mixing myself but never thought of sticking to the same colours. Thanks for the advice! 🙂
You do it perfectly, always. Impressive and cute as a button. A vintage Bettie Page button! In clothing, I mean! Always charming, you.
I’ve tried it, still do it a bit, but I do admit to being boring in wardrobe ways. My real life persona is loud enough, I’m thinking, and have never ever been accused of being a shrinking violet. Never sure if I should match my persona with loud and bright and bold clothing or try to temper it with more sedate outfits. Not sure the middle ground is as effective as I’d like, either.
Oh, well.
You are the most adorable creature
Yes you are right about mixing pattern and stick to one color
