Christmas – The Office Party

It’s the season for parties – the blogger’s parties, the friend’s parties and of course, the office party. Just hearing those 2 words together is enough to bring some funny (and sometimes cringy) images to my head, either because of situations seen irl (that’s “in real life“) or on films. Last year I went to two of them, in the UK and in Lisbon… This year I work somewhere else and only got to go to one but it was no less fun, if only a LOT smaller.

The typical sitting on the photocopier, panty slinging and general drunkenness (take a guess at which one has happened at an office Christmas party I attended years ago) was nowhere to be seen this year. Well, there was some drunkenness involved but nothing beyond the limits of civility. We wore Christmas jumpers and I had the chance to wear my newest addition to the ever growing collection, courtesy of New Look.

There was a team building experience (building a lifesize version of our mascots) to the sound of Christmas tunes as well as mulled wine and mince pies to keep our stomachs comfortable. We later went to the pub The Anchor near Bourough Market, where we had a few drinks, before heading to Fish! for a delicious and fishy (of course) meal. It was a lot of fun and I loved being in charge (most of the time) of the Instax camera. Here are a few instant photos I took:
