Having a few days off between Christmas and New Year was a much needed break from work and the perfect opportunity to spend time with friends, go to the cinema and go out and explore the city during the day. This one day in particular, I went to the movies to see “Paddington”, which although it is a children’s film, it was very entertaining. It made me laugh and that’s exactly what I needed to do. We go the tickets and went for a walk around Islington, to kill time before the film and of course, do an outfit photo, as opportunities for these tend to be scarce these days.

I also took some photos of the area around Islington, so I’ll be sharing these on a separate post – don’t want to turn this into a scroll fest.

It was a very chilly day so I had to layer up. The cold doesn’t care if we are trying to have a nice silhouette and as such we have to pile up on the clothes. And so I did. It was also the first time I wore the turban, the nail polish and the skirt.

The skirt was a gift from Anassa Store, an online boutique from Greece. I was quite impressed with the quality and it came in very handy, as I had been looking recently to replace a similar skirt I had years ago, that I wore to death back then. If you look at their website, don’t miss out on the fantastic bow backpacks, they’re just adorable.

The nail polish colours are from a gift set my housemate Sarah gave me for Christmas, the glittery top coat is from Barry M, found on the goodie bag from the Mishanto event I went to last month. Why wear just one colour at once, when you can wear several, right?

Here are the details: Gold Turban – from Camden Market; Grey Coat – Zara (clothes swap); Scarf – Oscar de la Renta (via TK Maxx); Jumper – Henry Holland, c/o Debenhams; Denim Skirt – All the way from Greece, c/o Anassa Store; Zebra Platforms – Office (via Ebay), Leather Satchel – Unbranded (via blog sale).

How are you layering up this Winter?
