Gold Crush – vitamins for your hair

Moving on with my beauty themed week and after yesterday’s post about ways I have found to deal with frizzy hair, today I am introducing something I am going to be trialing for the next couple of months: vitamin supplements especially formulated for hair. This should be interesting, as along with the course of two months of vitamins, Alicia Gold, the CEO of Gold Crush also sent a measuring t-shirt.

I took these photos on Sunday, after I had my haircut and I am ready to watch my hair grow and see how strong it feels. (And I was wearing jeans, shock and horror). Expectations have to be realistic, of course, as the vitamins will only affect any hair that grows after I start taking them. All the hair that is visible is in reality dead, so you have to provide the roots with the right nutrients to make sure it grows strong. As you can see on the photo, the longest strands fall over a healthy number 8. I’m so curious to see what’s going to happen in a month’s time!

The usual trademark silly pose, it had to be done. Anyways, there are a few things to take into consideration when taking vitamins – some are of the opinion that vitamin supplements are a waste of money, on the other hand, when I’m super tired my GP tells me to buy a bottle of vitamin complex. As these are contradictory, I’m not really sure what to think about this subject. It also needs to be said that taking vitamin supplements doesn’t replace having a varied and balanced diet, this is common sense but it’s always a good idea to remember. Also if you are breastfeeding of pregnant it’s always a good idea to check with your doctor before taking anything.

I will do a more in depth analysis of the product when I do my first update, as well as hold a giveaway.

Have you tried any hair specific supplements?

That’s a very good point! Anyway I only put it on for the trial and put it back in my drawer so we’re safe 😀

Wow. I can’t wait to see if they work. Personally I feel that it is nearly impossible to eat all the food that we need to get the nutrients we need. Really. How many nutrients in Nachos?
