ArtHome.London is a new concept, putting ART in the London startup scene (see what I did there?). Last week I visited their headquarters/gallery based in Bethnal Green in London and was well impressed with the project. And what is it, you might be asking?  ArtHome.London, as also mentioned on Wired Magazine, Tech City News and Mashable, brings a revolutionary concept to the London art market. Basically in the spirit of shared economy and making life easier for Londoners and their ever shrinking living spaces, this company offers a monthly subscription service for art you can hang on your wall. It’s that simple, you pay a monthly fee and you can change the painting in your living room as often as you want. Sometimes the simple ideas can be the best!

The project was born out of another website for artists, that has existed for around 3 years called Gitoon, which is a platform where artists can show off their work and get feedback from their peers. Artists also wanted a space to sell their artwork and after identifying a gap in the market for an art subscription service, ArtHome.London was then born.

This is a great idea, as a lot of people will move house frequently and may not have space for any paintings, or just moving abroad. This is an affordable way of having something nice hanging on your walls without too much compromise. However, if you do fall in love with the piece you have at the moment, there is always the option to buy it.

As you can see, I came around their , as well as the variety of pieces available, meaning that there will always be something for everyone. At the moment they have 100 pieces available for rotation but will hope to increase this number as the business expands.

If you’d like to get in on the action and have some original artwork for your home, subscribe here and get a month free with using the code sardou. Now don’t say I never give you anything.

Ah, so it’s like a monthly beauty box but for art! Brilliant! I’m constantly rotating the pieces in my flat on an almost-monthly basis – all I need is a service that stores all my surplus art! x
