You may find it strange, but Christmas in July is actually a thing, as brands and shops start gearing up for the next festive season, that is now less than 6 months ahead. I was lucky to be invited to the Debenhams Christmas Press Show 2015 and had a sneak peek of what’s going to be available in the next holiday season. Consider this as a substitute for a wishlist!

Of course, there had to be Christmas jumpers, gingerbread cookies and a lot of glitter! No festive season is really festive without tons of glitter, me thinks.

As you know Debenhams is a traditional department store and of course, there was a traditional Christmas table. I just love the glittery reindeer!

Anything that’s cat related is a winner in my book. Mix it with glitter and hot pink and you will make my inner 5-year-old extremely happy.

Check out the lovely pieces designed by Ashley Thomas: I’m a sucker for quirky illustrated homewares and these charmed me.

The lovely Ashley Thomas herself – don’t forget to check out her own website, with lots more cute things to see!

In this case, it’s my inner 10-year-old that felt happy – I had a phase when I was around 10, that I loved dinosaurs and could identify most of them from the books. I have forgotten most of that knowledge, unfortunately, and I can only guess that this is some sort of brontosaurus.

Although I don’t have any children, it’s always fun to look at the cute stuff that’s available for the little ones. The floral dress is by Ted Baker and it’s my favourite.

Christmas jumpers galore – last year I went to the Debenhams Christmas jumper party and it was a lot of fun. Looking at these is reminding me of the good times we had there! I have a couple of Xmas jumpers in my drawers already but looking at these I am thinking that I wouldn’t mind adding a new one this year.

One of the collections that once again caught my eye was the H! by Henry Holland collaboration with Will Broome, which resulted in a range of critter shaped bags and purses, such as the one below. It’s when I see things like these that my resolve for wearing age appropriate stuff kind of wanes a little bit. (A lot!)

Embroidered beaded butterflies. What’s not to like?

And of course, there had to be some sparkly shoes thrown in the mix. I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I didn’t do it, it’s something I have to do.

I went with my friend Lili from Beauty and the Snob, a good friend and one of my blogging companions. We had a great time at the beauty section, trying out the new things that Debenhams has to offer.

We got to try a few new products from Make Up Forever – the new range of eyelashes, that has 50 different types to choose from – including more natural looks, as well as some more theatrical styles. So much fun. I got to try something more dramatic that I usually would wear – I figured that since I don’t really know what I’m doing, it would be better to have something so radical put on by a specialist. And this was the result:

Check out the length of those lashes! You can really see the difference on this photo:

I got to keep them, of course, and I know what I’ll be wearing on my next drag party!

Last but not least, I got to try the Oxygen Blast Facial by Elizabeth Arden for a few minutes. What is it? Like the name says, a blast of oxygen to your skin, that makes you feel revived and recharged. Not exaggerating in the least – my skin was glowing and felt super fresh. You can get 15 minute treatments at the Elizabeth Arden counter at Debenham’s for £15 – the perfect refresher between work and a night out, as it doesn’t ruin your makeup. I am going back for it!

There was a lot more to see and try on but these were my absolute favourites. How about you? What would you like to have under your tree this year?
