These pics were taken a while ago (yeah, I was still wearing gloves then) but I cannot not use them because:
a) It’s Spring but it’s still kinda cold so I can still get away with showing so many layers
b) I like them and I was happy on that day
c) Mom jeans
What’s with the mom jeans anyway? I’ve never been a great jeans fan (I rarely wear them) but I’ve given in to mom jeans, after trying a few different cuts: boyfriend, high waisted, skinny… If you want to know more about the cultural implications of wearing mom jeans, this Saturday Night Live skit will explain everything you need to know about them:
Other than that, I am getting to that age that I’ll wear things for being comfortable and I like the fact that I can actually sit down and not show my knickers to the world when I wear these. All other previous jeans have happily been forsaken and given away (except for the polkadot pair that still fits).
Outfit details (in case anyone actually cares): Beanie hat – H&M; Jacket – Stradivarius; Tartan Kimono thing – some shop on Brick Lane; Jeans – Levis, via Ebay; Boots – Dr Martens; Jumper and Backpack – H! by Henry Holland, c/o Debenhams; Gloves – found at TK Maxx
How about you? How do you feel about mom jeans?
