A few weeks back I met Luke at a friend’s birthday party, who upon finding out that I’m such a great blogger (I’m joking!) invited me over to try his salon, Luke Jacob. I’m not one to say no to these things and after hearing good recommendations from my friend who usually goes there, I arranged a day and time to get my hair a much needed fix.

There are other stylists working at the salon but this time Luke did my haircut and Sofia took care of the colour. I was not only really pleased with the result but also made a new friend: turns out Sofia is also Portuguese and we have friends in common back in Lisbon. How funny is that? It’s true when they day that it’s a small world.

Turns out that Sofia also loves vintage hairdos and is a real pro at them. I couldn’t say no to the chance of having these cute 1940’s rolls done on me. I have been told I looked like Dracula but I don’t care, I think they looked great!

I also bought a couple of Label M products, as my hair was extremely dry on the ends and I’m keen on avoiding that happening again. I have to say that a few weeks later not only the hair is well conditioned but the colour and the haircut have lasted (minus root regrowth, of course). Sometimes when you get a bad haircut, it starts looking funny when it grows back but that hasn’t been the case at all. Everyone at Luke Jacob’s salon is a true hair specialist, who have been invited to work at London Fashion Week in the last few seasons.

I didn’t have a go to stylist here in London but now it seems like I found the perfect spot.

Tip: If you go to the salon to get your hair done and you have a bit of spare time, don’t forget to nip around the corner to Fashion Street, for a few great pieces of London Street art.

As always, I was invited by Luke Jacob to have my hair done but words and opinions are my own.
