Recently I have watched online a documentary about Sally Mann, a well known American photographer, who has always made a point of making art out of the ordinary. It was very good and insightful into her work and her life in general.
She shows us that the quotidian and the mundane can be very satisfying aesthetically, if you just take the time to stop and look. It’s the little things sometimes that make all the difference. Sometimes it can be a shape, a colour, a texture or all of them at the same time.
I have a similar approach, in the sense that I always look for the little eye catching details, that sometimes are not there for less observant people. A bit like when you are a child and that feeling of amazement you get while you discover the world around you. Thinking about it, my page is a reflection of what I see and choose to highlight, my daily life discoveries and almost a way of cataloging memories of my quotidian. I am so far enjoying it very much.

beijo
Love your jacket.
I find that I'm pretty hyper observant. I think it's part of being a “highly sensitive person”. It can't be very annoying for other people. =)
amazing outfit!love it!
It's 2:00am and I should be going to bed, but I keep feeling like I'm supposed to do something tonight. I decided to watch this documentary not realizing that I knew the artist. I love her work and I remember how inspired I was by her many years ago when I first saw her Immediate Family work. I really needed to see this tonight. Thank you.
