London – Stand up Camden

If there is anything I would say that I would like to do more often is going to comedy shows. I’m a big comedy fan and there is nothing better like laughing, I would say.

I headed down to The London Irish Centre with my bestie Ross, for an evening of drinks and laughs, and we got just what we wanted at Stand Up Camden. I even joked that all I needed to put on the review was that I laughed all night, it was that good!

We got a drink at the bar and headed to the function room. We sat right at the front as I didn’t want to miss any of the action and also have the chance to take a couple of pics for the blog post. I forgot that people in the front usually get picked on, haha!

This weekend I spent part of a day in Camden and for a good reason. My friend Michel is going back home to Berlin this week and wanted to get some silly souvenirs. As we hadn’t been to that part of town together yet, there we went. We had a great time, it has to be said. It was raining for a bit here and there but even that didn’t spoil our fun day.

We started by taking photos of my outfit – who is going to do that for me now that he will be gone? 🙁

London: Boxing Day in Camden

December 27, 2014

IMG_0360

As my friend Roger was staying over Christmas and wanted to go get himself some t-shirts, on Boxing Day we marched down to Camden Market, to see what was what. I don’t go to Camden all that often, maybe once a month but sometimes not even that. Do I like Camden? It’s a tricky question… Continue Reading…

Around Camden Town

December 23, 2013

One of my favourite things to do is walking around an area I don’t particularly know, with a camera in hand. It’s an exercise best done alone, as all the stopping for photographs can become quite annoying for anyone hanging out with you. I don’t get the chance to do this all that often but when I do, I make the most of it. These were taken on my last visit to London, when I attended the ASOS Social School event. I walked from King’s cross station to where their offices are located and then a bit around Camden. Later on I met with my beautiful friend Jayne of Jayne’s Kitschen -we had dinner together, a couple of drinks and took some cool photos with my Instax camera. I was really tired by the end of the day but it was well worth it! I hope you enjoy the details that caught my eye on that day.

London – Out and about in Angel & Islington

I’ve been out and about in the Angel and Islington areaa couple of times but as the days are so short, it’s always been too dark for photos. During the Christmas break I was able to go for a walk around there before sundown (and during!) and made a few photos. I particularly like that part of London because of the quantity and quality of shops and restaurants you can find. The gastronomy variety is great and there are some pretty cool bars and old traditional pubs (my favourites). There’s a particular street, Camden Passage, that’s perfect for vintage and antiques enthusiasts such as myself – you can get lost for hours looking at all the fabulous stuff you can find in them. If the photos make you curious, just hop on the tube and go out there for a stroll, it’s well worth it!
