What is happiness

November 1, 2013

Happiness can be a lot of things. the unexpected kindness of a stranger, good news from a friend… but those cannot be photographed. So for this post, I have chosen to show you nice things that have made me happy lately.

One of the cutest makeup sets I’ve ever owned, by Pupa.

A pair of hot pink satin killer heels from Reiss. Hurry! You can still get them here, on sale!

Mr Tibbs’ smile.

A lovely 60’s poppy dress and a Welsh tapestry cape I got from a blog sale.

Finding vintage items with the original tag still on.

My beautiful gauzy original Biba, via Kinky Melon’s Retro Boutique.

How about you? What has made you happy lately?

Week in photos

May 12, 2013

Not much happened this past week. Tuesday I went to the GP and was give a sick note to stay home for another week as I was still pretty bruised and achy. So it was mainly another week of not doing or moving much. I feel a lot better today and I will be going back to work tomorrow!

I caught up with the last season of Fringe. It was good. I did my nails too – Barry M’s Neptune Sea – a grayish blue with some tiny specks of turquoise blue in it. Looks a lot nicer in person.

Some blossoms I photographed when I left the house last Tuesday to see the GP. The day was lovely. Too bad I didn’t stay out long enough to enjoy it…

My new night cream and ice cream nail polish from Etude House have arrived from Korea. Nail polish can’t get any cuter than this!

My friend and housemate Iain went to Toronto for a week and brought me back a snowglobe for my collection, yay! I also got this modern Biba dress from Ebay – it cost me £10, the original tag says £125. Yikes!

The highlight of the week has been looking at the Met Gala outfits, under the theme ‘Punk’. Strangely enough Kanye West was selected as the entertainment. I have now produced proof that Kanye is as punk as punk can be.

Hope you are having a nice Sunday 🙂
