It’s a great thing to have fresh flowers around the house, it makes such a big difference. Having fresh flowers in a room makes it look more welcoming, clean and fresh. What if you could subscribe to fresh flower bouquets to be delivered right to your door? And what if all of these were all seasonal and native to the British Isles, to ensure you get the freshest flowers with the smallest carbon footprint possible?

This is what Wild Flowers Company provides – handpicked beautiful flowers delivered right to your door. I received a box at work and I couldn’t wait to get home to open it and see all the contents. When I did, I took a few photos, as the flowers were so pretty.

Share – In – Style – Flowers

April 12, 2014

I was well chuffed when Sacramento invited me to style an outfit for this month’s Share-In-Style. This month the theme is Flowers and it was a bit of a tricky one to do as I am not usually a florals kind of gal. But, as I have way too many clothes, I managed to find something and do a bit of a floral overkill haha.

Here is Sacramento herself, the queen of pattern mixing, in all her floral glory. Note how sunny it is around where she lives, in Spain.

And this is my contribution to the equation. Observe the drabness of the light and the colours. Not good. Where’s the Spring we have been promised?

Week in Photos

July 28, 2013

Hello friends! Not a lot happened this week, as you can see… Here are my new unicorn socks as well as my current favourite necklace, that I purchased on offer from the Victoria and Albert Museum. The weather’s been real nice and I’ve been wearing sandals almost every day. woo! The nail polish colours are from Hema (from my trip to Belgium) and Mini HD (a present from Sandrine, who brought it from Paris). I also picked up this Stars and Stripes bralet on a sale for £2, for that price I wouldn’t mind trying out that trend. I have to say it worked out well.

How was your week?

Myakka River State Park

July 15, 2013

One of the best things about Florida is the amount and variety of parks you can visit and explore. This time we went to Myakka River State Park, on our way back from Arcadia . We had a nice and relaxing walk around and although we didn’t get to see some of the biggest animals that live around there, we did have some nice surprises.

Watch the birdie! We had a bit of a laugh with this little one – as we approached he flew away complaining… that’s it COMPLAINING! and if he wasn’t it sure sounded like it. He didn’t seem to like the fact that we were disturbing him by walking along the river.

Pretty flowers.

A small alligator. He didn’t get too close and we didn’t really want it to.

Did I say it was relaxing? It was really pleasant and we shared some good moments taking pictures around here.

A monkey climbing the palmtree… oh wait. It’s my husband.

The dress was good camouflage.

Mr D spotted this very little one, It was a miracle he didn’t get squished. I hope he grows up to be a big frog and dies of old frog age.

What I wore: Dress – H&M for Water collection, via Ebay (how perfect was that for this holiday?) Sunnies – Moschino, Hair flower – H&M (on sale), Sandals– Topshop, thrifted on my day out with Curtise, Bracelets – present from Mr D’s Grandma.

Has anyone been to the parks in Florida? If so, which one is your favourite?

Don’t forget to sign up for the eyewear  giveaway, it would be great to get 50 participants so they can give one lucky reder a pair of glasses totally free! Otherwise it will just be the six $20 discount vouchers.

I am adding this post to Patti’s Visible Monday over at Not Dead Yet Style. Have a lovely week everyone!
