Interview – Cassy Fry, writer, poet and blogger extraordinaire.

January 23, 2016

It’s been a while since I last published an interview on here. I met Cassy Fry a while ago, first online (that’s bloggers for you) and then in person at a fun London Blogcademy reunion. I’ve always loved her blog and it was amazing when I found out that she was actually taking steps towards becoming a full-time writer. Now that is inspirational!

I believe her work is very creative and a lot of fun – and having read 50 Shaded Poems, I decided that I had to find out more about the artist behind it and the process. I’m sure you’ll find our email conversation as interesting and inspiring as I did.

The Tattoo Files – Sarah from The Laughing Medusa

April 29, 2015
tattoo-interview4

In this edition of The Tattoo Files we get to meet Sarah Lambert, a fellow blogger who I have had the chance of meeting in the last year. She blogs over at The Laughing Medusa, covering a variety of topics, that span between London life as an expat, personal style (which is adorable, by the way), and motivational texts, to help you discover your perfect life.

We finally met at some blogger event, after following each other on Twitter for a while and immediately I realised that Sarah was not only super nice, but also had an impressive tattoo collection. She is after all, a girl after my own heart, with her colourful hair, tattoos and quirky style, so immediately I wanted to feature her on The Tattoo Files. After all this time I finally got her to answer some questions about her body art, which I hope you enjoy!

Valeria Necchio, Food Author and Photographer

February 6, 2015
Valeria Necchio Photography
Valeria Necchio is a London based food author and photographer, whose blog My Life Love Food is certainly makes my favourite lists. Not only the photos are compelling but I also love reading her stories, mostly revolving around food, travel and the food eaten while travelling. Having had photos, stories and recipes included in publications such as Kinfolk Magazine, Italy’s Corriere Della Sera and the Urban Outfitters blog among others under her belt, there’s no doubt that Valeria is very talented and will be going places. Read on for more images and a short but insightful interview.

Small business spotlight – Maxwell Scott Bags

January 21, 2015

Having an entrepreneurial spirit is extremely important, especially in times of economical crisis. The British Government estimates that:

• In 2014, there were 5.2 million businesses in the UK, over 99% of which were small and medium enterprises.

• Small and medium enterprises employed 15.2 million people in the UK in 2014.

Also, small businesses are started by people like you and me, who have a good idea and a passion – and that’s why they can be so interesting to look into, it’s motivating. Today I have interviewed William Forshaw (well, not today but you get what I mean) about his experience in starting his brand Maxwell Scott Bags, offering luxury and classic looking leather luggage and bags. Read on for all the details and a little offer for my readers.

Meet my friend Fabio Lopes, who has accepted to star in another edition of Tattoo Files. Fabio has been my friend for many many years, we met via Livejournal back in the day in Lisbon and destiny had us reunite again in London.

It’s been a while since I last did a post on this theme but hopefully this won’t be the last. (Anyone London based who would like to be next just holler!).
