Growl, says the leopard.

April 19, 2013

I dread the day I have a job that makes me tone down on my style. Today’s theme is leopard. I love leopard print and I have it in all forms – tights, shoes, jackets, dresses, knickers, you name it. If you have been following this blog for a while, you may have noticed it (except for the knickers). So here’s 2 outfits that have 2 things in common: the use of leopard print and the fact that the photos were snapped on my lunch break, by Frankie.

Details : Shoes – Jeffrey Campbell, Clutch – Vintage Fenwick, Dress– H&M, Angora Jumper – French Connection, all via Ebay. Coat – Bershka, Socks – retail.

And for some silly jumping photos:

Details: Shoes – River Island, Skirt – H&M, both via Ebay. Jumper – ASOS, Bag – Target, Hat – Dorothy Perkins, Shirt – George, Leopard Cape – C/o Mod Dolly.

How about you? Do you have to dress differently for work?

Week in photos

April 14, 2013

Same old same old, another week blah blah, follow me on Instagram under the handle @hellothemushroom

A bit of relaxation. It’s not every day that I can sit at a cafe and have a chai latte.

This week I had a multicoloured mani on. The bee ring was a present from my friends in Portugal. Musical dress from Nishe (via Ebay) and Doc Martens shoes I got from Paige.  I love the high heeled loafers and discovered they give me a bit of a wiggle. Embrace the wiggle!

Thursday I went to the Pitcher & Piano, a bar in Nottingham located inside a church. Rude additions to a traffic sign.

Dress from Zara, ring was a present at work. Little black bird, hiding.

Watched the documentary “Searching For Sugar Man”, I definitely recommend it. These flowers were left at Margaret Thatcher’s birthplace which is close to where I live.

I finally got my hair done. TV Shop style – “Are you sick of having bad hair days? A dull colour on your hair? Suffer no more and pop round your local salon!”

Before, during and after:

I went out last night, Filipa has been promoted and we went for celebratory drinks as we should. I wore the heel-less heels from Jeffrey Campbell and I am happy to report that even after two glasses of wine I didn’t fall over and no legs were broken. Daniela was also wearing some very sexy heels from Topshop!

Nothing much else to report. Hope you are having a lovely Sunday!
