The other week I was invited to participate in an Alternative Street Art tour of Shoreditch and the East End. The idea was to go around the East side of London, learn a few things about the history of places, look and photograph some street art and then have a go at printing our amazing pics on the new smallest all-in-one printer.

And that my friends, is exactly what we did. Doug from Alternative London was our street art guru for the day and after meeting up at Shoreditch High Street station, took us around to our first stop, Brick Lane. On the way we managed to see a few bits here and there, as there’s always art everywhere, be it in the shape of stickers, paste-ups or graffiti, and all the mixed media pieces in between.

The other week I was invited to another fun event organised by Joe Blogs – a Murder Mystery night, with BGO (a gaming and entertainment company). I was very curious as I had never done anything like that before and I do spend a lot of time watching true crime shows as well as detective shows.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go so well for me as I got lost on the way to the venue,  The Somers Town Coffee House in Euston and ended up arriving later than I was supposed to, not to mention a bit stressed. Thanks Google Maps! For that reason, I wasn’t a great help to my teammates in helping to figure out who the killer was, through solving a series of puzzles and exercising the art of deduction. In the end, we almost got it but if the poisoned bottles really had poison in them, we really would’ve died a horrible death.

When you get asked “would you like to receive a surprise in the post?”, what would you say? Probably what I said – yes! I love getting little parcels in the post and even better when someone actually picks a couple of personalised gifts, just for you. That’s what my friends over at Joe Blogs proposed, as part of a campaign with 32 Red. Do you want to see what was in the package? Just take a look after the jump!

Afternoon tea with Audrey Hepburn

A few weeks back I was invited to a very special event by Joe Blogs – an afternoon tea at the Amba Hotels Charing Cross, following a visit to the Audrey Hepburn exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.

The Amba Hotel is located in Charing Cross and is a perfect mix of both history and modern design – all the modern comfort, set in a Victorian hotel, where some of the features are original and over 100 years old. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want to stay in the center of London and within walking distance from major cultural attractions such as the National Gallery and also the tube, that will take you just anywhere.

I took a bunch of photos, of course…

I’ve got India on my mind. #IndiaInColour

July 26, 2015

It’s on days like these – grey Sundays, that you sit at home listening to the rain fall on the roof (yes, wouldn’t think it’s the Summer, would you?) – that the mind wanders to other warmer and more colourful places, such as India. Haaa, India, you’ve been on my destination bucket list for a while. Maybe one day I’ll get to go, as I’ve forever been fascinated with the culture, religion and folk art. So much colour and beauty but also a place of contrasts. All in all, a place that is a feast for the eyes and the camera!

Joe Blogs couldn’t send me to India to make my dream come true but they did send me a box full of goodies that brought a little bit of India to my home that I put to good use today.
