Who took the bomp from the bompalompalomp?

August 18, 2013

Who took the ram from the ramalamadingdong? Who knows? This is probably one of the most ‘adventurous’ outfits I’ve worn to work in the past few months.  Somehow I’m not too happy with the proportions, for some reason it seems like it looked better when I saw it in the mirror. I think I need to play around with these mid length skirts and find what really works. I suppose I would substitute the flatforms for a pair of platform heels. What do you think?

Details: Headscarf – Vintage souvenir from Rome found in the US, Cardigan – Wet Seal (on sale, cost 2 cents of a dollar), Bag – Swap with my friend Lili, Stripy Beetlejuice Skirt – Internacionale (on sale), Tshirt – Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop, Flatforms – Kurt Geiger (via TK Maxx), Ring – Present from the lovely Ariane at Style Sud-Est

As always, I’m joining Patty and all the other lovely ladies at Visible Monday. Have a lovely and fruitful week!

August 11, 2013

How’s your week been? Mine has been the same as usual plus a few birthday parties. I am currently in London and that means that next week I will have plenty more to share!

A very Summery morning / Cat tattoo tights from Ebay, flatforms from Monki / Waiting for the bus to Notts / At the Riverside Festival in Nottingham / Tacky hats / Spreading positivity with the world.

Red shoes / I never wore golden hoops before. The general consensus was that it was good. / My flowery trousers from H&M paired up with myKurt Geiger shoes / Flower cut out boots from Rocketdog / My new heart sheets. I love them. / Die Antwoord rule! / Old shoes from Zara / Hiss! / Latex rubber mask worn for my friend Jayne’s party. More pictures of that to follow!

Office Looks – totally inappropriate looks for the office

August 2, 2013

The price intelligence charges its chosen ones is resignation to daily banality.

Don Calacho
And it is with another Don Calacho aphorism that I start a new edition of Office Looks. It’s been a while since the last one, no? So here are a couple more examples of my resistance to daily banality. This time the common denominator is the beije coloured H&M skirt I got from Ebay some time ago. I have been enjoying experimenting with longer lengths but as I’m fairly short and don’t have long legs, I need to compensate with platform shoes as it elongates the lower part of my body visually. Which one is your favourite?

Week in Photos

April 21, 2013

What a busy week this has been! Friends from the Lisbon office were visiting and we went out for meals a few times. Thursday as I mentioned yesterday, I went to the Company Magazine Fashion Forum in Manchester and that was a long stretch but it was worth it!

The Carnaby Irregular Choice fringe boots. They’re amazing.

Dress by Suncoo and my old leopard jacket from Bershka. Shoes by Kurt Geiger, via TK Maxx. Hurry, you can get them here!

Lovely leopard cape c/o Mod Dolly and black and green Irregular Choice shoes!

A photo from the road trip to Manchester last Thursday, some of the attendees at the Fashion Forum.

Pop stars where they belong lol. The day before M Thatcher’s funeral (she was from here).

Last Sunday I finally finished the black angora bejeweled top. As there was a little bit of rain I wore my see through rain boots! They look like DR Martens but made of see through plastic!

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram under the handle @hellothemushroom.

Hope you are having a nice quiet Sunday 🙂
