OOTD – An icy morning and another graveyard

December 8, 2014

Finally managed to get some pics done for an outfit post, as it’s becoming frequent for me to hang around a graveyard. Forgive the morbidness but it was the most interesting place around, plus I figured I could spot some interesting funerary art, which I did. These pictures were taken at the Parish Church of Saint Lawrence Little Stanmore Alias Whitchurch, or to be more accurate, the graveyard outside. It’s situated near Edgware, in the North London area and it is now joined the list of graveyards I’ve visited in London.

Explanations and excuses aside, I wish I could do outfit photos more often these days, but with my schedule Continue Reading…

OOTD – A stroll through East London

November 20, 2014

Last weekend I went to East London. Strolled through Brick Lane, Hoxton and loads of other areas. As always, I took my camera with me and took many photos. I will share those over the next few days. For today, here’s a rundown of what I wore.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. Not particularly about when I physically die, but what will happen to the photos I’ve been posting online all this time?

What if someone saves my photos in a hard drive? What if that hard drive is found some time in the future, in a flea market or something of that sort? Will I be gracing the pages of the future Pinterest as an oddity or a typical citizen of our time, wearing some funky clothes? Anonymously, most likely. Just an anonymous smiley face like many others.

We will never know what’s going to happen, but I would like to think that we (by we, I mean anyone who takes pictures these days, particularly digitally) don’t do it in vain. If my photos will give some future lady the same pleasure I get from seeing fun photos from past decades, it’ll all be worth it.

Photos taken as usual, at the North Acton Cemetery, during a lunch break. Will be joining the ladies over at Visible Monday with my simple outfit, comprising a TK Maxx dress, a second hand satchel, some tights bought on sale from Primark and some really really old sparkly Zara flats. . I am also happy to announce that there will be lot’s of blogging this week around these parts. Yay!

A couple of weeks ago I went to Northampton for the first time, to see some friends. We had a lovely weekend and a very good laugh. Filipa was there too so I asked her to take these photos for me, for old time’s sake. It was really good fun!
I’ve been busy lately, with friends visiting, getting involved in interesting projects and generally enjoying life in London. I’m trying to be better with blogging, but I am sure that it’ll get better when the weather gets cold – I tend to avoid going out when it’s too cold, haha. For now, I’ll try to carry on blogging, as much as possible.

What I wore: Jacket – Zara, Skirt – H&M via Ebay, Stripy top – Vintage, handmade by my late great Aunt Irene, Satchel – Second hand, via blog sale, Tights – Walmart (I think), Shoes – Dune, via TK Maxx, Headband – Savers, Sunnies – Betsey Johnson, via TK Maxx

I’m joining the lovely ladies at Share- In – Style this week, join us with your own Summer outfit at Sacramento’s!

I’m very good at having fun

I have been made to have fun. I’m very good at it. I’m so good, I should get paid to do it. Every little thing is a good excuse for a laugh or something silly. Hotel rooms are no exception. They exist with the sole purpose of having people like me have fun in them. And this is what I did, I had all the fun I could have, jumping all over the furniture. I swear I didn’t break anything though, that wouldn’t be fun now, would it?

Outfit details: Dress – C/o of Just for 5 Pounds, Belt – H&M
