I got an email from Original Dating with a different speed dating proposal: literary speed dating. As I’m interested in trying different things (I’m now on my way to become a speed dating expert, it seems haha) I thought I’d participate. At least this time the likelihood of meeting someone I might have something in common with is higher, as at least all the people there all will like to read. I was hoping for a lot of geeks I could have some interesting convos with and for sure my librarian style glasses won’t go amiss.
Say what? Eating dates while doing yoga, very quickly? No, you read it right, it’s a different speed dating concept, where you get to meet people while doing yoga.
I was invited by Date In A Dash, and since I’m interested in trying diverse things, I thought I’d give it a try. This time I’d be Carrie Bradshaw in spandex, no cosmos.
I have to say that I was a little bit apprehensive about the whole thing. The usual speed dating format didn’t really do much for me and I wondered if this would actually be fun – especially because yoga pants and exercising would be involved.
Part 2 of the Valentine’s Weekend <3
It’s a well known fact among my friends that I’ve sort of given up on finding a partner, but as I am pretending to be a London based Carrie Bradshaw (with a collection of Irregular Choice instead of Manolos), I thought it would be fun to attend a speed dating event and then write about it. I was invited by Original Dating and as I’ve never been to anything like this before, in the name of sociological experimentation, I said yes. I brought my friend Kirk with me, as I thought it would be nice to have someone I know in the room.
