This week I was pleasantly surprised when a chocolate Easter egg landed on my desk courtesy of Dragonfly Tea. When I cracked it open I was surprised to find some extra treats inside – a few new tea flavours for me to try: Swirling Mist, Emerald Mountain, Cape Malay Chai and Golden Himalaya. Thank you Dragonfly Tea for the lovely gift.
I wish you all a lovely Easter, filled with chocolate, tea and fluffy bunnies!
Tea has been part of western culture for centuries, having been brought to Europe originally by the Dutch in the 17th Century. They seem to have started a trend that stuck! (Maybe we can write about other things the Dutch are famous for but that will have to be left for some other time).
I may have mentioned this before – I am a tea person. I can’t really drink coffee as I don’t like the flavour nor the aroma. For this I am occasionally made fun of because being Portuguese, I should LOVE coffee, the stronger the better. As this is not the case, when I want to have a hot beverage, tea is my go to option and I have never met a tea that I don’t like.
That said, Dragonfly Tea sent me a few flavours to try, and that’s what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks.
Sunday Sunday, I love a lazy Sunday. I mean who doesn’t? Having a lie in, time to do your own projects, nap and snack when you want… The perfect day of the week if you ask me!
Last weekend I traveled to Lincoln to go to the movies. It was a nice trip out.
I wore a big flower on my hair and my uber cool DIY project.
Tabi shoes from Japan, Silver jeans and Dr Martens high heeled loafers.
More inappropriate wear for the Office- rainbow platforms from the Office outlet on Ebay and the Ahcahcum Muchacha cat bag. I love it!
The red sparkly shoes I got from a blog sale at Emily Divine and the embroidered ones are from Oysho and I’ve had them for god knows how many years…
I love getting nice things through the post – particularly if they have s sense of humour. I got the rosette from Dear Colleen, a super fun indie shop from New Zealand. It’s a one woman show and what a great show it is, go on right ahead and have a look, you won’t regret it. I also learned how to use my sewing machine for the first time this week. I am hoping it will be a lasting love affair.
Yesterday I went to a tea party at Chloe’s. I was even given a teacup to match my outfit, how cute was that?
Party mask and cake!
We played twister and it was a laugh… to watch!!! I’ll be posting more about it during the week.
When I got home I found a lovely package that had arrived when I was out – A flower crown and loads of goodies from Desiree of Pull Your Socks Up! Thank you for all the goodies – the kookaburra magnet went straight on the fridge and I can’t wait for an opportunity to wear the amazing flowers on my head.
