Oh Comely Magazine – a review

October 12, 2011

I was queuing for the till at WH Smith the other day and it was soooo slow. To keep my eyes busy I was looking at the magazines on the shelves right next to me and lo and behold, found the cutest magazine I’ve seen in a long time: Oh Comely.

In their own words:

oh comely is a magazine about people and their quirks and their creativity, rather than money and what it can buy. It’s nice to see you here.
It’s a magazine that inspires people to be creative, talk to their neighbours and explore new things, rather than buy stuff or lose weight. Imagine sitting down with a cup of tea and a creative friend to hear all the strange things she says, all the curious stuff she does, and about the things she loves.

I flipped through their pages quickly and I was immediately convinced and brought a copy back home with me.

I’m glad I did, the magazine is simple, well designed and just beautiful.
I really liked all of it: the illustration, the photography and the creativity in general. The blog is also filled with interesting ideas and suggestions. Sadly it won’t work on Google reader, my now indispensable tool for blog reading.

If you have a WH Smith store near you, swing by and get yourself a copy, it is definitely worth it! (if you don’t, just click here)
