I found a beautiful 60’s vanity bag in pristine condition. I will be using it for travel and for storing bits and bobs when I’m not. All for the huge amount of £3.50.
I got some books as well – Stephen Fry’s biography The Fry Chronicles for £4.00, another biography Life: Keith Richards for £2.00 and Umberto Eco’s Baudolino for £1.00. I’m very happy about my finds and I can’t wait to have the time to read all of them. I’m very curious about Stephen Fry’s book, because well, it’s Stephen Fry, Keith Richards’ book was recommended by my husband and I’ve read most of Umberto Eco’s books so I needed to add this on to the list, for sure!
I also picked up some magazines: Oh Comely! which has become one of my favourites, Nylon (60’s style special edition, yay!) and Company because it has one of my girl crushes on the cover – Zooey Deschanel. I know, it’s a cliché but what’s there not to like?
I went in Boots looking for glitter nail colours and ended up coming out with some more- red glitter from Barry M, Ivory by Max Factor and the yummy lime green from Bourjois. I have already tried the red glitter and the ivory on. I’ll have to wait for Springtime and its wardrobe to try the lime green on.
So all in all I had a good and thrifty shopping day out!
