It is grim up North… Manchester part 2

March 16, 2012

Some more photos of my day trip to Manchester last week. Even though it is usually grim up North (as everyone kept telling me), I was graced with a lot of blue sky periods and no rain.

One of the best things I’ve seen all day: a monument to Vimto

Beautiful shots! I like that fresco/sculpture thing – it's a bit dark fairytale with emerging faces and hands and tool bits and organic tangles and tentacles. Great!

Thank you 🙂 It also made me think of some sort of modern Art Nouveau.

I have to admit that I clicked on the saturation button, as the light in this country turns everything to grey. At least we can see the true colours of things shine through via photoshop! (Yes I was quoting the Cindy Lauper song, lol)
