As I may have mentioned previously, I went to Brussels in the beginning of March for a long weekend to visit my good friend Oh La Lali as I hadn’t seen her in over a year. I have loads of photos to post but as the blog was down for over 2 weeks they are now long overdue. I will be splitting the photos in several posts so I don’t bore you too much with a lot of scrolling. The photos I am posting today are just a few details that caught my eye as soon as I got there.
I was very curious to go to Belgium as I had been there exactly 20 years ago, back in 1993. I was curious to see what I still remembered, what I could see had changed and how I would be seeing it now. Seeing it through the eyes of a 15 year old is a totally different thing isn’t it?
A lot of people cycle everywhere. One day I’ll be able to say the same.
There are LOADS of Portuguese immigrants in Belgium. In this particular area, there are also a lot of Portuguese cafes and restaurants.
A very funky window display – Kali Ma and Cateye Tree
Knock, the doorbell is defective.
Nothing like a bit of symmetry.
Where is Snow White?
Tomorrow I will be attending a fashion magazine’s forum. I am very curious to see if I will learn anything useful from it. If not, I am sure that at least me and the girls will be having a laugh on our little road trip there.

Sweet details! I know next to nothing about Brussels, but have heard it is lovely.
I look forward to more pix! XXX
Oh yes, you won’t be disappointed then – I got loads!

You know you’re more than welcome to come visit Brussels again and again – next stop should be Ghent, the hipster town!
Ah, never noticed snow white was missing, and I pass by this electricity box every day 🙂
Thank you my lovely. We’ll plan something for next year, I hope 🙂

I laugh at pic knock on the door, they used the word Toquez, never heard i might use it, nobody around here will know what it means, i guess these are les curiosités of a different country

Include away! More than happy to be in your blog 🙂
I remember a friend who lived in France telling me years ago that there are loads of expressions used in Québec that are totally different from France. It would be interesting to see which.
Ooh I would love to go there – and I love all of your wonderful and quirky observations… the window displays and the bicycles are especially inspiring!
