Red lipstick

October 11, 2011
A couple of weeks ago I was on a train, reading the October edition of British Vogue and something caught my eye.
A one page article about red lipstick, explaining how some designers and brands are now using red lipstick in their latest shows and how amazing it is.
The difference this time lies in the density of the pigment, as super charged colour becomes opaque. Right on cue, brands are launching new full-on, glossy lipsticks, ditching their previous waxy ways for a creamier texture with mirror-like shine.

As red lipstick has always been around and never really went away, one has to love the way magazines  try to sell a classic basic thing like it’s the new best thing since sliced bread. I thought it was extremely amusing.
Am I the only one? What other examples can you think of a similar situation?
