Mod Dolly website launch

August 2, 2012

Last Sunday I travelled to London to attend the Mod Dolly website launch at the Tea Rooms in Stoke Newington. Do you remember Amy He from Dolls are United? She is the one responsible for the brand and she is going places! The event was organized to celebrate and promote the launch of the new Mod Dolly collection called Molly Bloom. The new collection falls pretty much into place with the rest of the items the brand had available before and doesn’t disapoint in the sweet and dainty dress department. We were all given a copy of the look book, modelled by blogger Olivia Purvis from What Olivia Did and photographed by Kitty Gallannaugh and that was a lovely souvenir to bring back home as the photos and the design are very sweet.

I had a great time, I got to finally meet Amy personally and she is as nice in person as she comes across online and is a fantastic host. She is doing a great job setting up her brand and I admire her work and determination (that’s why I got in touch with her in the first place, remember this?). I also got to meet other interesting people at the event – other bloggers, stylists and people interested in fashion in general – who were very pleasant and a pleasure to spend time with. Joseph Kent also took my photo for his street style blog, so watch his space, it will be coming up some time soon.

The brand is now also available on ASOS Marketplace here.

Here are a couple more photos of the event from Instagram, as my battery decided to die and I had left the spare one at home in the charger…

You can also find a few more photos of the event at the Dolls are United! page here, as well as more images and a review at The Upcoming here.

I have some more photos of London from that day but will be sharing them some other time.

I love the name of her company. I checked out the web-site and everything looks great. Youthful, modern, and a little bit edgy.
