It’s crazy clown time

April 7, 2014

A couple of weekends ago I went to Nottingham and saw that the circus was in town. Obviously it had to be the backdrop for an impromptu photoshoot, as I know that many of my blogger friends love the circus theme as much as I do. It was called American Circus but according to the mixed licence plates I saw, it was anything but American, only the decoration! anyway, I had to have a little wander and see the trailers and trucks. Nothing like some decorated trucks to cheer oneself up, especially if Clint Eastwood and Pam Anderson are on them.

Where the wild things are

Where the wild things are

There’s a creature hiding in the woods. Is it a nice creature or will it come and eat your heart? Not all creatures are bad, I think.

Too much stuff

February 26, 2014

ASOS Bowtie and Shirt

I’m still battling the huge amount of clothes I own. So far all is going well on the plans for not buying more clothes – I got some gifts and did some swapping but other than that I’ve been behaving very well. I have separated a whole bag of clothes I would like to get rid of. I am now separating the ones that are OK and that I’ve never worn before, so I can donate them. These trousers is one such example. Thrifted them a while ago at Oxfam, never wore them until this day. They are now going back to the charity shop as only items I’d see myself wearing again will remain. Although I still like them and they got many compliments at work, I don’t like them enough and stuff needs to go! (I was even asked when I was going to do my music video, although I’m not sure if that was a compliment). Stay tuned for more clothes-I’m-getting-rid-of blog posts.

London

I, the London Fashion Week virgin

February 17, 2014

Yes, I had never been to the London Fashion Week before. Not that I have been now, but as I was right on the other side of Somerset House to see the exhibition Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! (which, by the way, I highly recommend) and decided to go and have a look at what was going on. Unfortunately photography wasn’t allowed in the exhibition so I couldn’t take any images to show you, just this one, taken by the entrance.

I was with my friend Lala from Ohlalali, and by the time we arrived at the entrance on the other side we could see that a lot of people were already leaving. I think most likely because the sun was starting to go down, as there were still shows going on, for what I gathered. Nonetheless, there were still plenty of people hanging around, taking photos or waiting for someone to ask them to take their photos. I was only there for about 20 minutes, took some photos of a couple of people and left as there was nothing there to see, really. I didn’t really understand why people will go and spend their days hanging around if they’re not either working or attending the shows…

These girls scandalized me, because it was goddamn cold!!!

Regular blokes – having all the fun.

Fab hair.

Cute looking girl.

And this is me… wrapped up very warm as I am still recovering from a mofo cold. This photo was taken in a much less stylish location – in front of Tesco’s! Haha. Details: Coat – Zara, Metallic Leather Skirt – River Island (both from a swap with my friend Lili), Knee Highs – H&M (on sale), Bag – Ahcahcum Muchacha, Pink Boots – Doc Martens (via Ebay), Ivory Cashmere Jumper – from a jumble sale, Cardigan – H&M (via Ebay), Scarf – secret Santa, Hat – it was my Mum’s.

I am told I may be given some decent photos of the Fashion Week shenagigans to post later in the week, so stay tuned!

Morocco outfits

January 27, 2014

Hi guys! I still have lots of interesting things to say about Morocco so I thought I’d get the outfits out of the way, all at once and progress to useful guides and suggestions posts next. I’ll be writing about nice places to see, fun things to do and delicious things to eat, so stay tuned.

Dress – Alice Temperley (via TK Maxx), Scarf – Zara, Belt – Primark, Shoes – Carvela (via TK Maxx)

I had plenty of orange juice while in Morocco, it was everywhere, it was delicious and it was dirt cheap!

Moroccan leather slippers – present from my in-laws. I love the hearts and stars on them.

Dress – Nishe (blog sale), Cardigan – Primark, Scarf – Oscar de La Renta (via TK Maxx), Leather bag – thrifted in Oxfam.

More orange juice! I love the scarf, it was a present from Jo at Fe-line.

A comfortable outfit – Coat – H&M (via Ebay), Shirt – Alice Temperley, Polkadot Jeans – Lavo Jeans (both via TK Maxx), Glitter Trainers – Springfield

I look a bit disheveled, this was taken right after we visited the hammam, the Moroccan spa. It was bliss, I must say. Polkadot Red Dress – H&M (via Ebay), Tshirt – Primark

Stars nail wraps from Nail Rocks.

Dress – From Camden Market

Dress – H&M (via Ebay), Tights – Ebay, Turban – Lomography shop in Lisbon

Sunnies – Pucci (via TK Maxx)

Dress – Yumi (via TK Maxx)

I love the little birds and the cages on this dress. It’s too adorable.

Almost at the Sahara Desert!

So these were my holiday outfits. I hope you like them.

As it is Visible Monday time, I am sharing these at Patti’s. Join me there!
