This year I won’t be travelling back to Portugal, nor anywhere else… but I’m not complaining. After these last few busy months, a little time to rest, for myself and to start some projects will be very welcome. A few friends will be coming over for Christmas lunch, including Jasiminne and Henry, so a good time will be had by all. I dragged a 5 kilo turkey home the other day and we’re planning so much more food, it’s silly. The upside is that we probably won’t have to cook for a couple of days afterwards, haha! I look forward to sharing some pics of the banquet we’ll be preparing – that is, if I can actually move to take any pictures, after all the food and booze we will be eating during the day.
Even though I won’t be seeing my family and other loved ones, I am happy to spend it with friends. This time of the year is always a bit difficult for everyone and in my case, it makes me think of all the dearly departed family members that are sorely missed. It’s a good thing to at least have friends to eat, drink and be merry with.
I hope you have some good two (or three days, if you also count Boxing Day) of enjoyment. In the meantime, here’s the best of Seinfeld’s Festivus skits, for a bit of a laugh.

I’ve been meaning to look for some Seinfeld Festivus fun – thanks for that! And for the lovely graphics.
Holidays with friends can be as much or more fun than with family – fewer expectations, more silliness, new traditions. Enjoy your holiday!
merry christmas, dear lady!, glad you’re enjoying some tons of food and booze with friends!
