We had planned to head back up north to where Mr D actually lives and visit the Everglades. On the way there we stopped in a couple of places.
First we had a light brunch at Gilberts. The place was really nice when we arrived, there wasn’t that many people there. As soon as more people started arriving the service just became horrible and it took us a very long time to get our bill so we could get back on the road. However, the ceviche I ate was quite decent and it was relaxing for a while to just sit there watching the water and the boats.
Another stop was at Robert is Here, this once humble fruit stand, now a big fruit shop, selling all kinds of fruits, souvenirs and delicious milkshakes, with a petting zoo on the back.
A monkey’s paradise!
Oh hai!
Did I mention I like goats?
We then had to say goodbye to the cute animals and beautiful sunflowers and get back on the road.
Next stop: alligators and other critters at the Everglades National Park.
