Crafty, for a change.

A couple of weeks back I was invited by Lilly to participate in a re-styling and crafting event in London. Even though I live a bit far it was well worth travelling for the day: I saw friends from Lisbon Teresa and João, which I hadn’t seen in a few years and had a lovely afternoon sitting with the girls, just chatting and making pretty things. It was a very nice afternoon, spent bonding over some of our mutual interests and also very inspiring to hear other people talking about their ideas and projects for the future. It is something I had been missing, hanging out with other creative people as we end up nurturing each other’s creativity.

The idea of the event was to alter something you already own that for some reason needs altering or sprucing up. I took a couple of projects to do that day: a white t-shirt and an old black skirt I was going to throw away but thought I could re-use the material (recycling is good!) and a pair of glittery loafers to add some big red pompoms to, as inspired by this.
