Bloggers Love Fashion Week Party

I’ve been meaning to attend a Bloggers Love event for a while but it hasn’t materialised until now. Bloggers Love is a platform that organises events, both online and offline, to connect brands with bloggers and this Gossip Girl themed occasion seemed like a good opportunity to go down and see what was happening.

I really enjoyed talking to the ladies from Souksy London, their project seems really interesting and a story worth sharing. Maybe soon? They had some really original looking statement jewellery (see the first image on this post), that screamed “SUMMER!” right at me.

It was a great idea to sign up for the dinner party as there was only a select group of us there. That gave me the opportunity to speak to a couple of bloggers and meet the people behind some of the brands present on the night. There was also a nail bar and an illustrator, Willa Gebbie was doing blogger portraits. I had mine done and it looked so cute! Make sure you look at Willa’s portfolio as her artwork is really good.

AKA Clothing was one of the fashion brands present and was definitely one of the most interesting ones. They have clothes for men and women and the palette is as you can see on the photo – black and white monochrome. I liked the textures and patterns employed and despite the apparently simplicity, they are really good looking.

Another stall that caught my eye was Louise McLeoud – again, the collection made me think of beach, sun and sand. I particularly liked the wishbone bracelets and necklaces, as well as the tassels. (I do love a good tassel.)

Gold Collagen promises better skin, nails and hair with their collagen supplements. I had a quick look online and some people swear by them, as they say that the liquid form is more effective than capsules. I have no idea as I haven’t tried it but would definitely be open to it – I’m not getting any younger and will be hitting 40 in a couple of years, anything that is non intrusive that will help maintain my skin looking healthy is something I am willing to try. As someone that hates taking horrible tasting medicine (many times I’ve stopped taking vitamin supplements because the taste of it made me gag), I was surprised that these actually taste really nice, the one I drank being passion fruit flavoured.

I didn’t get a chance to speak to all the representatives from all of the brands present but the ones I spoke to, all had interesting stories to tell, which I think can be very interesting to learn about. I always think these stories can be motivating and inspiring, as it’s all about people following their dreams and working to build something they love. I took a few pics here and there – not a lot as after a while there was a lot of people and I ended up leaving, being the awkward crowd fearing person that I’ve become. I did have a lot of fun and can’t wait to share some of the goodies I brought back home with me.

Which one is your favourite?
