Spending the Summer in a city like London can sometimes pose its challenge: one day it’s sweltering hot, the next day is cool and rainy. I have been thinking about what would my style tips be for having a stylish and comfortable Summer in London and this is what I came up with:

Wear a versatile length – Regardless of what the weather is, Summer maxi dresses are here to save the day! They’re versatile and can be worn whether the days are on the hot or the cool side, all you need to do is layer up or down or wear a pair of comfortable sneakers or let your toes get some sun with a pair of sandals.

Comfort and style – One of the things I have come to appreciate ever since I moved to London, is the importance of comfortable shoes, as one ends up walking so much. Whether a pair of flat shoes, sandals or sneakers (my current favourites), I can’t live without flats anymore. It’s not a problem, as they can be just as stylish as heels.

Wellbeing starts from the inside –  When it’s hot and especially if you have to go underground (Central Line, eurgh), make sure to stay well hydrated and carry a bottle of water with you at all times. Do like me and get a cute bottle with binchotan charcoal in it to filter out impurities – it’s great!

There’s always the sun – Well, we’re talking about London so using the word ‘always’ might be a bit of an overstatement. However, when it comes out, it can be quite strong. As such, don’t forget to wear a hat (animal ears optional, haha) and the good old sunscreen.

Outfit details: Maxi Dress – c/o JD Williams; Flectarn Shirt – German army, purchased at the Mauerpark flea market last year; Brooch Selection – cat from Les Nereides, rhinestones was my nan’s and the bow was a gift; Animal Ears Cap – Ebay; Sneakers – New Balance, via TK Maxx; Tote Canvas Bag – Uniqlo x Kaws collaboration; Tassely Socks – H&M (have had them for years).
