Lifestyle – Xmas crafts with John Lewis Retail #JohnLewisChristmas

December 18, 2016

Crafting is one of my favourite activities. It is creative, calming and nothing beats the feeling of finishing something with your own hands.

When I was invited to join a few blogger friends for an evening of festive crafting, it would’ve been crazy to say no. It was just what the doctor ordered: crafts, friends, bubbly and mince pies!

I sat at the Christmas stocking decoration table and proceeded to do mine very on brand – with skulls – because for me it’s Halloween every day!

Obviously had to take a picture of the completed work by the Christmas Tree… obviously.

But for me, the piece de resistance was the Xmas Jumper. I’ve grown to love them and I’ve been getting a new one every year! This once came courtesy of John Lewis and it’s super cute. You see, I have a thing for urban foxes, even baptised the one on our street as Gerald.

I thought the best way to decorate it would be with pompoms so I did my best. With the pompom makers, it is a breeze and I can see myself decorating everything with pompoms in the house from now on, as these make it so simple. These truly are the best thing since sliced bread!

Best photo of the evening: finished stocking, a pile of pompoms and a half-eaten mince pie.

Me, modelling what my idea would look like.

All in all, it was a lovely evening: I hadn’t been to an event like this in such a long time… It was great catching up with some blogger friends and meeting others that I knew from social media as well. Plus, i came back home with a new amazing Christmas jumper, stocking and crafts materials for my own little projects!

The amazing pompom makers and all other haberdashery materials can be found at John Lewis, they have everything you see on these photos and a lot more!

Thank you, John Lewis Retail and Talented Talkers for all the Christmas magic!
