As some of you may remember, a few weeks back I attended a splendid wine tasting event at the Petersham Cellar in Richmond. The Cellar is part of the fairly well known Petersham Nurseries, which first started as a garden centre but also more recently expanding to offer decor objects, a cafe and wine cellar.
Even if you’re not much of a gardener, (i.e., if you are like me, a plant killer and not a grower) I would still recommend stopping by for a cup of coffee and a wander around, as there is eye candy everywhere – the colours, the shapes, and all the variety are electrifying for the senses. I had the camera at the ready, of course and snapped a bunch of shots that I hope you enjoy. I am now looking forward to my next visit, hopefully in the Spring, to see all the new blooms. That means that you’ll have another picture heavy blog post to look at. Yay! (You’ve been warned).
The selection of objects is carefully sourced and curated and with a very defined style and theme and I wouldn’t mind having some of them at home. The mirrors and the chandeliers in particular are very romantic even if a little ostentatious (but that’s what mirrors and chandeliers are for anyway).
If you plan on visiting over the next couple of months, beware as it may be a little bit wet and wellies are a must. We were wearing some pretty stylish wellies, as there is no excuse to not look good, even in the countryside.
OK, no more chairs. But they were pretty!
Have you been to the Petersham Nurseries before? Which is your favourite season for a visit?

I am such a sucker for garden nurseries and this one is exactly my style. So beautiful. Maybe some day I can visit but for now I love your beautiful photos.
PS. Sara, I have something for you. Email me your address so I can pop it into the mail.
