A few weeks back I was invited to a very special event by Joe Blogs – an afternoon tea at the Amba Hotels Charing Cross, following a visit to the Audrey Hepburn exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.
The Amba Hotel is located in Charing Cross and is a perfect mix of both history and modern design – all the modern comfort, set in a Victorian hotel, where some of the features are original and over 100 years old. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want to stay in the center of London and within walking distance from major cultural attractions such as the National Gallery and also the tube, that will take you just anywhere.
I took a bunch of photos, of course…
We were greeted with a glass of bubbly and given the opportunity to mingle and catch up with everyone else as well as explore the hotel for a bit.
We walked over to the National Portrait Gallery with our fun photobooth accessories (totally on theme, as you can see) and had a great time looking at Audrey’s pictures. She was such an amazing looking lady and not only that, a great human being. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take photos inside the exhibition but I think you can have an idea easily by looking at her photos on Pinterest!

After the exhibition, we came back and were treated to a lovely afternoon tea, with more bubbly, several types of tea and delicious sweet and savoury treats. If you have any food restrictions of allergies, worry not, all you need to do is tell the staff and everything will be accommodated – vegan, gluten-free, allergies, you name it.
We were also allowed to do some more exploring and I took the opportunity to do even more photos!
